A Room With A View

A Room With A View

This is the view from our living room. We have the same view from our bedroom. The circle below is called Dejvicka. It is a major turnstyle-type intersection between Prague proper and the outer sections of the city. That means that many of the major buses, trams, and subways stop right outside our front door.

The building across the intersection and on the right of the picture is the main building for the Czech Republic’s Department of Defense. Does that make our apartment safer or more dangerous? We haven’t figured that one out yet.

One thing we love is the fact that we look out on so much open space. This means we can actually see the sky! So many apartments look out onto other buildings right across the street. But we are able to look out on the world every morning. And Eloise loves to say hello to all the cars, trucks, trams, buses and people too!
