Hungarian Goulash

Hungarian Goulash
Originally uploaded by thestonesinprague.

Hungary is famous for its Goulash. And I went to camp with the mistaken idea that I had already tried authentic Hungarian Goulash. However, what I had tried is something completely different, a grilled meat covered in a brown sauce. This, it turns out, is also a traditional Hungarian dish, just not what they call Goulash. Outside of Hungary the word Goulash refers to this other dish. But in Hungary Goulash refers to the stew you see above. It was quite good!
