The Journeys of Flat Stanley

The Journeys of Flat Stanley
Originally uploaded by thestonesinprague.

As I mentioned yesterday my friend Alethea sent us a care package and traveling amongst its contents was this character, Flat Stanley. Alethea’s neice, Meghan, who lives in Virginia, is participating in a project with her Kindergarten class. Flat Stanley gets sent from person to person on his own trips around the world. I took Stanley with me today when I went out on the town. I tried my best to give him a wonderful tour of the great sites of Prague. : ) Here you see Stanley enjoying the view of Wenceslas Square. Behind him is the Czech National Museum. This is a major shopping area of the city so while we were out seeing the sites I snuck into a few favorite stores.

I hope Meghan will be able to see this picture. Stanley was a wonderful guest and thoroughly enjoyed himself. According to Stanley, he is off to see Alethea’s sister in Chicago next. Bon Voyage, Flat Stanley!

My second hour AP Chemistry class enjoyed this. They want to show Flat Stanley some cool experiments! 🙂

Thank you so much for taking Flat Stanley around Prague for Meghan! We are so happy that Alethea sent it to you – Prague is a wonderful city. I visited there when I was a teenager and would love to return. Thanks for taking such great care of Flat Stanley and putting him on your blog. Meghan’s teacher will be showing your blog entry to her kindergarten class tomorrow!

    Sincerely, Theresa & Meghan Allen
