national and international evangelists
Steve Wright asked who the national evangelists were for the CoG. Honestly, I had forgotten that we had them, though I had some recollection that they existed once Steve asked the question. Well, I tracked them down, but did not find out much about how they are selected, job description, etc. Does anyone know more about the history of these appointments?

I had a great conversation with Steve. I think I will just create a new post here shortly in order to recap some of the things that we talked about.
The evangelist positions mentioned in this blog are appointed by the Executive Committee for 2 years and then they are reviewed and renewed for another two and so on. They receive financial help toward their housing.
I spoke with W.C. Ratchford this morning about this. And, no, he does not read this board.
Thanks Dennis, that’s very helpful. When I spoke to Steve he realized that the positions that had come up in his other conversation was the international evangelists, instead of the national evangelists. I guess there is a difference in the compensation packages. Tell W. C. Ratchford to drop in on us sometime!
